The Lanes
While in Central check out "The Lanes"; two alleys (Li Yuen streets) bursting
with factory outlets and market stalls
everything from discounted clothing, costume jewelry, watches, children's
clothes to luggage and shoes. There are shows actually in the street for the
higher end things but stalls down the middle in two rows with the real cheap
stuff.
Unfortunately the stores that sold cloth have all been moved out now to the
old Western Market building, which
while very nice is rather out of the way. However if you are a sewer, a
seamstress, a dress maker or just love fabric then you should certainly make the
trip out to the old Western Market.
