The new Star Ferry pier

The new Star Ferry pier will be beside the other outlying island ferry's -- basically they are rebuilding what was already there as Pier 7 into something which will no doubt just be a pale imitation of the original.

Still, I suppose they will have to keep the clock and the bells -- it would be a great shame for those to go.  There can now be seen a new clock tower, which is actually more classical than the original which is a sort of typical 1960's block construction.

The actual Star Ferry itself won't change at all, the trip will still be 5 minutes, less maybe 10 seconds due to the changed position.

Constructing is still continuing -- I am not sure when it will be finished but the roof is on now.  Reclamation beside the old star ferry pier is starting so they better get the new star ferry pier ready!
