please tell me weather july hong kong so i can plan my travel wardrobe and what type of hotel is best for shopping if you want to be late out and do the clubs as well.

July is one of the hotest months, you won't need any warm clothes that's for sure. Shorts and lightweight cotton tops would be good.

Hotels in Wanchai probably are good if you are a late owl and want to drink and dance! The dancing in Wanchai itself is a bit down market, but it is close to Causeway Bay and Central where more is going on.

And no hotel in Wanchai will be concerned if you return to your room at 3AM a little the worse for wear!

Have a great time, and save some time to go shopping for your outfits before club. There are great things to see in Tsim Sha Tsui. Try Granville Road and the export shops.
