Hello,
My little family and I just arrived in Hong Kong. Our 6 year old daughter who is not in school wants to meet friends and girlfriends. Is there a meeting of families in parks?
Which neighborhoods do you recommend for a living?
Our daughter is allergic (food), there are supermarkets where you can find British products?
there are weekends meetings families, expats, etc. ..?
What British schools, or other native English speaking, etc. .. do you recommend?
We are also looking for music lessons, swimming pool, gym and other activities for our daughter.
Any advice is welcome.
thank you and see you soon I hope.
Linda

I'm sure you'll find lots of things to suit you here, there is a large expatriate community including many British people. Therefore there are plenty of facilities, perhaps not as much as the size of the city would suggest given that much of the city is of course Chinese first. But there are British style shops and restaurants, lessons, gyms and so on. With plenty of kids activities on offer.

All these do come at a price of course, the majority of the expatriates here are professionals on a good wage, and so the services being offered are priced accordingly. Then things that are imported also have higher prices of course, sometimes with good reason, and sometimes just because they can.
