Hello everyone, I am currently working in France, but I will soon receive my letter of transfer to Hong Kong. I was offered a "local contract" + "negotiable", which means that maybe we can improve a little "package" .... I'm not married but I live in with my partner and we have two little girls almost 5 and 3 years. We ask a lot of questions but we are also very attracted by this opportunity ... I have a few questions to submit to anyone willing to help me a little to guide my research and mature a little our thinking! Where live in Hong Kong to be close to a nursery and primary school French?

Is it easy to enroll their children, how much does it cost per month? What are the average prices of rents (with 2 rooms) in the neighborhoods around these schools? Thank you in advance for your info ... and tips!

Stephanie

Stephanie , I'm afraid you'll find francophone facilities are rather less numerous in Hong Kong than English ones. I can see that your English is fine so you won't have trouble in a day to day basis, but if you want to send your children to French speaking school or activities then your choices will be severely limited.

The Lycée Français International or "French International School", is the only real choice. It follows the French government system and if your children attend school there then their education will basically be the same, or at least be compatible with, anything they would receive in France.
