I'll be staying over for a bit less than 24 hours waiting for a connection, the airline says I have to get my luggage out, they won't forward it. So can I put it into a locker or storage place at the airport? I'd like to be able to go into the city and do a whirlwind visit as I've never been before and probably won't get another chance. But no way I can do that if I'm carrying my suitcases.
Most airports have left luggage right? only I know some are getting more and more paranoid and don't do that any more so wanted to know how it was in Hong Kong. Does the airport itself run left luggage storage facilities, or are there something similar nearby? It'll have to be open very late as I'm not landing until after midnight then will be wanting my bags back just before midnight in time for my next connection.

Yes there is left luggage facilities at the airport.
It is located on Level 3 of the new Terminal 2, which is probably not the terminal you will arrive at. So do allow time to go from one to the other, although the adjoin they are both large.
The left luggage counter is open from half past 5 in the morning, 5:30 until after midnight, specifically at half past 1. e.g. 01:30. The hours are the same every day Mon through Sun.
It is reasonably priced considering it is in an airport and it is an assisted service with real staff, not a coin operated locker. Each item stored costs HK$10/hour, or $120 for a day. But this is only for ordinary suitcase size, if you have something giant or extra heavy then you will pay more. You'll have to ask for details at the desk. or try calling them up at +852 2261 0110 during their opening hours.
You may have to make payment, or a deposit, in advance.

I would like to ask question about large-sized luggage storage overnight in airport.
My school Orchestra will arrive Hong Kong at a flight about 22:00 at 7/11/2017. After checking out, I assume the members and the instrument can leave the airport after 23:00. However, the school will be closed at that moment. There are many large-size luggage musical instruments that must be treated immediately after checking out.
I would like to ask :
1.Are there any safe and suitable storage device for about 15-16 large-sized instruments,e.g. Cello overnight (Just for half-day, the school will open next morning).
2.What is the cost of the rent if storage is available? |
