April can be cold or hot, it alternates. Ocean Park is all concrete paved roads so you don't need hiking gear or anything. Some of the paths are quite steep though so you might not want to wear your highest heels!
On a hot sunny day it can also get really hot -- there are a moderate amount of trees for shade but some parts are too hot anyway. And there is a shortage of places to sit down, so expect to spend most of the day on your feet.
If want to take any rides there is a water ride where you will get wet, so a light rain jacket would come in handy.
At the same time if you are planning on going somewhere fancy afterwards for dinner and want to dress up you will be fine, and will find you are not the only one -- many ladies from the mainland like to dress up while on holiday! |
