This is nice right? "L'Place Hong Kong" - I'm told that's where we are going for a team dinner next week when I'm in Hong Kong. Is it formal, should I take a little-black-dress? Normally I'd be pretty casual in the office but I don't want to let the side down if we are going somewhere nice! I've tried to look it up but that weird name with the "L" and the apostrophe is giving Google the fits!

Help me avoid a fashion disaster and tell me what it's like!

I believe you may mean "The L Place" which actually has several restaurants. None of them have a dress code however.

In generally dining in Hong Kong is quite casual, and a meal-with-colleagues is very unlikely to go to somewhere you'd need a suit and tie (for a man).

That said, the little-black-dress works anywhere and is a safer bet than jeans and t-shirt.
