Ah that depends on your defintion of "cheap"; and "good"! McDonalds doesn't score well on either of those I think.
The local style cafe is probably a better bet though it is hard if you don't read Chinese or already know the dishes you want to order. |

| There is always something good going in Lan Kwai Fong, not just the upscale eateries, but there are plenty of cafes at the end of the road too which can be very reasonable. As cheap as any "local" cafe as you put it. |

The MICHELIN guide was first published in France in August 1900. Originally the guide was initiated to help drivers, with detailed information about where to find automobile maintained, decent lodgings and places to dine while driving around the country.
A consistent selection is ensured by awarding stars based on the same criteria: product qualiy, preparation and flavors, the chef's personality as revealed through his or her cuisine, value for money, and consistency over time and across the entire menu. These criteria are appropriate for all types of cooking, including Chinese.
In November 2009, the second edition of MICHELIN's bilingual food guide for Hong Kong was published. The MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau 2010 includes 245 restaurants and hotels from Hong Kong and 53 Macanese restaurants and hotels. Out of the 245 restaurants in Hong Kong, there are a total of 32 restaurants that have been awarded one star, eight restaurants that were awarded two stars, while two restaurants were awarded all three stars. |
