Hello, I am going for a bit of tourism in Hong Kong pros 10 days, as we don 'need no visas - 3 months there. Is the HK where the customs administration establishes rules that must meet before they can enter Hong Kong (eg, hotel booking, currency minimum for subsistence, or return ticket). As I know nothing, I'd read the advice of those who can offirir and also hear the experiences of those who have already been to HK To summarize, what you ask me to Police or customs at the airport so that I would be in order for my tourist stay. Thank you

Sorry my English is no good and translate with Google.

I can't believe immigration would turn you away because you look too broke, well I suppose it if twas an extreeme case.

I have heard of people being asked to show their return airtickets, but that doesn't really mean much does it as you can cash those in.

They can;'t even reasonablly ask where you are staying, e.g. looking for a hotel booking, as lots of people arrive just hoping to find somewhere to stay, a hostel or something.

Not that that is very safe in HK, things fill up fast and at busy times of the year there are very few hotel rooms which are a good deal. In fact very few rooms in anywhere convenient.

Hong Kong is full of these tiny new "hostels" which are more like room-by-the-hour places which have been upgraded. But are still pretty basic, and are no way anything like what people expect when they say the word hostel coming from somewhere in Europe or the US.

So in summary you shouldn't have a problem unless you arrive looking like a beggar, and even if you do then all you need to do is prove you have onward flight or return flights booked and you should be ok.

Like in any country, arriving looking neat, or as neat as you can after a long flight, really helps to get through customs and immigration without problems.
