Home > Sightseeing > Districts > Hong Kong Island > Stanley > Murray House Murray HouseA history building originally located in Central Hong Kong this was moved block by block to its current location on the south side of the island near Stanley Village. While originally a military barracks it today is home to a few restaurants and a museum. Well worth the few minutes walk to reach it if you are visiting Stanley Market anyway, and what tourist to Hong Kong does not spend an afternoon in Stanley Market? Perhaps have lunch in Murray House and pay a quick visit to the small but interesting Maritime Museum. Entrance fees and opening hoursNo fees to enter the building but if you want to go to the Museum then it is HK$20. Open 10am to 6pm and closed on Mondays. Getting thereBest way is to walk along the waterfront from the end of Stanley Market. NearbyThe Stanley Plaza next door is a small shopping arcade with a few tourist ready shops, but the main reason to go there would be to visit the bakers in the supermarket to get material for a picnic in the outdoor space outside.
