Hong Kong Wetland Park

The Hong Kong Wetland Park located at Tin Shui Wai in Yuen Long in New Territories which is the northern part of Hong Kong.  It's quite close to mainland China as you can see Fuk Tin of China from the park's lookout.  This 61 hectare park features the diversity of Hong Kong's wetland ecosystem and raises public's awareness to conserve it.

How to go to Wetland Park?

Opening Hours:

Monday, Wed - Sundays and public holidays: 10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.

Tuesday: closed (except public holidays)

Ticket office: 9:30a.m.- 4:00p.m.

Ticket Price:

Adults: $30

Concessionary ticket: $15 (children age 3 - 18, full time students, disables and one carer) and senior aged 65 or above

Children under 3: free

How much time should I allow to visit?

You should at least allow 3 hours to enjoy the park.

When is the good time to visit?

In terms of month of the year, October is good for watching migratory birds.

In terms of time of the day, check out the tidal level of Hong Kong Observatory web site for low tide times.  It is because when the tide is low, you get to see the mudskippers and fiddler crabs at the mangrove boardwalk.  But as the park closes at 5p.m., I will say go to  the boardwalk past 4p.m. to say 'hi' to the crabs.
