Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

Mandarin Oriental Hotel is an old, well established and respectable 5-star hotel.  Situated in the heart of financial area in HK, it is welcome by both businessmen and the local rich.

The Mandarin Oriental opened in 1963 and was renovated in 2007 to introduce a modern high style look to the whole hotel.

I believe Mandarin Oriental has a very high standard of service.  I once had a buffet lunch in the Clipper Lounge and I saw one of the restaurant managers walked around the food with a thermometer to make sure the food is in appropriate temperature.  This is something I haven't seen in any other 5-star hotels before.  I am sure this award winning hotel will suit the most demanding travellers.

Here are some pictures of the hotel:

It's next to the subway to the old Star Ferry Pier

It is opposite to the Legislative Council building.

The fancy coffee shop used to be at the ground floor providing the customers a street view and the pedestrians a way of envy.  Now it's all brand name shops!

It's address is 5, Connaught Road, Central.
