My Hong Kong employee was claimed that is a common practice that employer will allow employees to leave early from work on Mid-Autumn Festival. I just want to find out whether this is true.

Appreciate that if anyone working in Hong Kong willing to share with me that their company's usual practice. Any other holiday celebration, usually company will allow employees to leave early also?

Thank you in advance for your sharing.

Yes, that's pretty normal. Any festival which has a major family gathering as dinner falls into the same category.

It isn't a lot early, but allowing plenty of time to travel to a more distant district for dinner.

Winter solstice would be the same although that isn't an official holiday.
