Sounds like a homework question. Smile

Schools operate from around 8:30 to around 3pm.

There is plenty of homework, several sheets a day at least starting in K2, Kindergarten.

Extra tutoring after school is very common though not officially required. Sometimes it is just somewhere to go to sit and do your homework with a tutor available to help as the parents will be at work.
