There are several different boats from Hong Kong to Macau but the most popular ones leave from the ferry pier at Shun Tak Center. That is the large two tower black building with red bands around it which is just to the west of Central.
For example you can take the New World First Ferry to Macau from there. Those ferries go to the central pier in Macau but you can also from Shun Tak Center take the Cotai ferry which goes to Cotai.
You asked specifically about the hydrofoil , but there are now several different ferry types and they are all just as fast. They are no faster, but they are more impressive it is true. However they are older and the inside fittings are a little run down by modern standards.
The company that runs the hydrofoils though is "Turbo" and only their "premier" tickets are guaranteed to be on a hydrofoil, the regular tickets may be regular cat ferries.
Also while Macau ferries do also go from China HK City on Kowloon side none of those are hydrofoils. |
