Bun Festival 2009 and Photos

Check out the schedule for the bun tower climbing competition this year.  All activities are held at the soccer pitch of Pak Tai Temple Playground.



Events (located at the soccer pitch outside Pak Tai Temple)

18-19 Apr,
25 Apr
Training on climbing the bun towers - provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union.
25 Apr 2009 Selection of Finalists - 12 applicants who have completed the training and have reached the designated height of the bun tower and hit the object required within the shortest time will be allowed to enter the competition.
26 Apr 2009 Climbing Carnival - activities include climbing demonstrations, game stalls, variety shows and handicraft.  2009 East Asian Games related activities will be included to promote the event too.
2 May 2009 : 1:00 to 3:00 (aprox) The parade of floats.  Note that if you want to watch the parade you need to get there very early, no later than 11:00am, or you may not be able to reach the route. 
2 May 2009 midnight Bun Scrambling competition:
To win, one has to collect as much as possible the highest scores buns within the specified time.  In case of a tie, their scores in the selection of finalists will be used.
