Famous for seafood, this is very close to Hong Kong island, just to the south, and many expatriates live there and commute every day to Hong Kong.

Not terribly interesting as a sightseeing destination, if you are only going to visit one of the outlying islands Cheung Chau or Lantau will give you are more interesting day at the cost of a slightly longer ferry ride.
