What is "Flower Show" about?

The Hong Kong Flower Show is organized by the Leisure and Culture Services Department of the government to promote horticulture and has become a major leisure activity for HK people every year.

There are kiosks to display potted plants or floral arrangement by local horticulture clubs and foreign embassies.  Sometimes the agricultural department or local university may display local food plants, herbs and herbal drugs to educate the public.  Don't miss out the wonderful plant sculptures and large scale floral arrangement.

What are the other various Flower Markets?

There are two major flower markets in HK.

First one is the all year round real flower market in Mongkok in Kowloon where they wholesale flowers to individual florists but they also retail cut flowers and potted plants too.

Second one is actually part of the Chinese New Year Fair.  Every year, about one week before Chinese New Year, there are fairs all over HK.  Fairs like this sells toys, new year related decorations and new year related plants.
