| For my business I need to travel to hong kong and to go to a business which is located in the area called "Mong Kok". Can you tell me is this a safe area to go? Please list suitable precautions for me. I am Germanbut speak fluent English. |

In the day time Mong Kok is actually probably safer for you, as a tourist, than the normal tourist areas. There are no touts or people trying to sell you cheap rolex watches in Mong Kok.
At night time you should be more careful though -- I mean like 10PM or later. If you are going for a dinner then when you leave be aware of yourself. It is just like any big city -- nothing specially dangerous.

So very crowded area but most accessible by subway (MTR).
Beware of pickpocketers as if you're in Italy or China mainland. |

Pickpockets is a risk -- but I don't think anywhere in HK is as bad as Italy -- I mean big cities like Milan or Rome.
The only pickpocketing case that happened to anyone I know in HK was in Central though, outside worldwide house which doesn't seem a risk location. Sometimes it's just random I think.
