Sorry to sound like the Ugly American but really - what's the story? There is bottled water everywhere and water filters, and I hear even the locals all boil their waters. So what shouold we do?
Thanks

| Don't touch it unless you want heavy metal, clorine, all kinds of metals and probably melamine. Oh yeah and don't tell me how safe it is coz the HK GOV says it is. I mean they said milk was safe too right and what have we got now! |

| We use bottled water from watsons, they deliver those huge bottles and give (well lend) you the dispenser. It really works out pretty cheap like around HK$1.500 per month and for that I know my kids are drinking safe water and it doesn't have that awful taste that the tap water has. I come from Sweden and we drink the tap water there without boiling and filtering but basically I feel safer here with the distilled water. It's not that I don't trust the government here I'm sure they make good water at the water department and all that but who can say what happens to it between there and my tap? Pipes get old, get damaged and there you go. I don't want to wait 10 years before there is a problem. But that's just me, when it comes to my kids I want the best stuff and that includes the water. Jannie. |
